Prayer Requests
God responds to prayer with power and love. He invites us to bring our requests to him. If you have a need for which you would like prayer, we would love to pray for or with you.
Food Pantry
No residency requirements or income restrictions.
Anyone who shows up will receive food and a blessing.
Mission Statement
Recognizing that God has blessed us to be a blessing, the Arthur Southern Baptist Church Food Pantry serves as a vehicle to share the overwhelming abundance God has entrusted us with to those in need in our community.
Food is shared with love and respect to those who come for assistance. It is our intention that they receive not only food for their physical hunger, but generous portions of kindness and grace to feed their spiritual and emotional hungers.
"For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." Matthew 25:35
Funding and Donation Sources
The food pantry ministry receives food and funding from a number of sources:
•Donated Funds
•Designated funds received in offerings to the church •Budgeted funds allocated in the church budget
•Funds from outside donations
Donated Foods:
We are a participating member of the Eastern Illinois Food Bank. We also receive donations from the local produce auction and groups and businesses that support the needs of the community.
